Start with the purpose of your stay
A short visit, employment and long-term residence are different application purposes. NPRA handles entry and residence matters; LMRA services address work permits. Choose the relevant official service before treating a commercial package as a visa entitlement.
- For tourism, meetings or a family visit, check the eVisa eligibility tool for your passport and circumstances.
- For employment, ask the prospective employer which LMRA work-permit service applies.
- For moving family members, use the specific spouse, child or other dependant route rather than a visitor application.

Visit visas: check the individual conditions
The eVisa eligibility results link to the conditions for each available visa. Read the permitted entries, validity and length of stay separately: a visa valid for several months does not itself establish permission to remain for that whole period. If a direct application is unavailable, the official FAQ describes a guarantor-based route. Eligibility and approval still require authority assessment.
- Use the same passport for travel as for the application.
- Check extension eligibility through the official service before the authorised stay expires.
- Payment does not guarantee approval; holding a visa does not guarantee admission at the border.

Family and longer-term residence
LMRA publishes separate spouse and child residency services. Golden Residency has its own eligibility categories, including qualifying professionals, property owners, retirees and talented applicants. Neither a family relationship nor a property purchase should be treated as an automatic residence approval.
- Match the family member to the correct official category and document checklist.
- Check residence and employment permissions separately.
- Use the current category requirements rather than comparing routes only by advertised prices.

Old Flexi Permit information can mislead
LMRA now provides a Registered Worker Permit service through approved Labour Registration Centres. Its conditions include being in Bahrain with a terminated work permit; visit visa holders are not eligible. Do not travel as a visitor or cancel a valid permit based on a promise of unrestricted freelance work.

Make the quotation and decision traceable
Before using private assistance, ask for an itemised quotation stating the exact application route, official charges, assistance fees, required documents and what happens if the authority requests further evidence. BahrainAgent can assist with preparation; it does not represent the government or decide applications.
- Keep the official application reference and payment receipts.
- Recheck the live authority requirements before paying or booking travel.
