Planning Your Bahrain Company Formation Costs

Request an itemised quote for your business rather than relying on a single formation price. Separate service fees, official charges, third-party costs and ongoing obligations before deciding.

What should an itemised quote show?

Ask which items are included, which are estimates and which will be charged separately. Confirm when each payment is due and which terms apply if the scope changes or you cancel.

  • Professional services: the work covered, deliverables and exclusions.
  • Government and licensing charges: the applicable activity and current official fee basis.
  • Third-party work: translation, authentication, notarisation and other required services.
  • Premises and deposits: what the activity needs and the supplier’s terms.
  • Ongoing costs: renewals, accounting, audit and employment-related obligations where applicable.

Where should government fees be checked?

Check current Sijilat requirements and the relevant authority’s fee schedule for the particular application. Name reservation, CR registration and activity licensing should not be treated as interchangeable fee items. This guide does not quote an unverified standalone name-reservation charge.

Is share capital a service fee?

Share capital and service fees are different budget items. Confirm the capital requirement and any evidence needed for the chosen form and activity.

Capital requirements depend on the legal form, business activity and applicable ownership conditions. Confirm the requirements for the proposed company; they are not limited to CBB-regulated sectors.

Which ongoing obligations affect the budget?

WLL companies must appoint an auditor and submit annual audited financial statements. Do not budget for audit only above a supposed capital threshold.

Assess social-insurance, employment and tax obligations for the actual business. Rates and registration requirements should be checked with the relevant authority rather than taken from a generic formation package.

Tax obligations depend on the business and its group. Qualifying multinational groups may be subject to Bahrain’s Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax. Assess VAT registration under current NBR rules rather than assuming that company formation is tax-free.

How do I compare two quotes?

Compare the same scope: formation assistance, official fees, third-party services and ongoing work. Ask whether a payment is an advance or the whole service fee, and review the applicable refund terms before accepting. A quote does not guarantee government approval.

Why is there no fixed formation price here?

The work and applicable charges depend on your activity, structure, documents and required support. Request an itemised quote before deciding.

Does a formation quote include an annual audit?

Check the written scope. WLL companies have annual audited-financial-statement obligations, so ask whether audit and ongoing accounting are included or priced separately.
